  2. DOYLE collects only relevant and necessary information. We limit its collection and use for our professional needs or your business needs, or to substantiate your optometric file and comply with the various legislation pertaining to it.
  3. DOYLE obtains this information directly from you.
  4. DOYLE must obtain your consent to collect, use or communicate your personal information. Your consent may be sent to us in writing, by phone or by email. When you provide us with personal information voluntarily, we take your consent for granted.
  5. You may withdraw from our programs and services at any time, in person or by email.

COMMITMENT POLICY REGARDING MY DOYLE FILE

By creating an account in the MY FILE section, you accept that doyle.ca collects and saves the data provided. This data may be used to update your optometric file in the store or to customize your online purchases at doyle.ca or at one of our DOYLE optométristes & opticiens stores. By using our site, you undertake to provide true, up-to-date and complete personal information. Otherwise, we may suspend or close your account.

PRIVACY PROTECTION

In no case will we sell, lease or publish your personal information. We retain it to facilitate your online orders or to give you the benefit of promotional offers that meet your needs. Your data is strictly confidential. You may unsubscribe from our mailing lists at any time.

ONLINE SHOPPING POLICY

GENERAL CONDITIONS

Benefit from all the freedom of the Web and all the attention of a true professional. Since eye health is a priority, our online shopping policies respect the regulatory requirements to offer you products in full compliance. By shopping at doyle.ca, you have the certainty that all our products are authentic and sold by professional opticians and optometrists. Our Web customers benefit from the same privileges as in-store customers. They can also visit the store for adjustment or repair of products purchased online.

This site is administered by Gestion Luc Doyle inc. (GLD), a company incorporated under the laws of the Province of Québec, with the goal of offering an online shopping experience and after sale service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These general conditions are applicable to all transactions between you and GLD. If you refuse these general conditions, GLD may not complete your request in any case. The general conditions may be changed without notice (…), so we invite you to consult this page regularly.

CONDITIONS REGARDING THE SALE OF PRESCRIPTION PRODUCTS

FRAMES AND SUNGLASSES

Since they have no direct serious impact on eye health, online sales of frames and sunglasses do not require any approval by one of our professionals.

OPHTHALMIC LENSES

The doyle.ca site sells certain types of ophthalmic lenses directly online, when the parameters allow. It is up to one of our professionals (…) to evaluate whether the order and the customer’s file are complete enough to approve the transaction, in compliance with the laws in force.

CONTACT LENSES

According to the different laws in force in the province or country of origin of the order, the following conditions could apply (…):

  1. Only customers who have a valid file with DOYLE may reorder their contact lenses at doyle.ca.
  2. Only customers who have a valid patient file with DOYLE may order their contact lenses at doyle.ca.
  3. If the time since the last vision examination or eye health checkup has expired, the customer will be informed and invited to update his/her file by visiting a vision professional.
  4. By completing the order form, the customer accepts the shipping conditions of the selected product and accepts (…) to pay the charges, according to the method indicated on the order form.
  5. By completing the online order form, the customer accepts responsibility for the order and all the charges related to the online transactions.
  6. DOYLE reserves the right to cancel any order for professional reasons.
  7. DOYLE reserves the right to refuse to sell a product.

EXCHANGE AND REFUND POLICY

Frames and sunglasses

  1. DOYLE accepts to exchange frames and sunglasses within 30 days of delivery of the product. The frames must not have been worn or damaged and must be returned in their original packaging, with a valid proof of purchase. The customer shall assume the risks of loss or damage for any product reshipped to DOYLE.
  2. Once DOYLE has received the product to be exchanged, the Company will proceed rapidly with the exchange according to the customer’s choice, and will adjust the amount according to the applicable shipping charges.
  3. DOYLE accepts to exchange a product one (1) time only.

Ophthalmic lenses

DOYLE accepts to replace lenses, if the customer is not satisfied, within 30 days of delivery of the product. A $30 laboratory charge will apply.

Contact lenses

  1. Within 30 days of delivery of the order, the customer may return any box that has not been opened. The product must be in its original condition for the customer to be entitled to a refund. The boxes must be sealed and impeccable, without any written marks, tears or other alterations.
  2. After 30 days, the customer may return a sealed box to obtain a credit. The customer must have communicated with DOYLE in advance to obtain the return authorization. If the return is authorized, a gift card for the corresponding value will be issued.
  3. After 30 days, the customer may return an unopened box to obtain an exchange. The customer must communicate with DOYLE to obtain the exchange authorization. Once DOYLE has received the product to be exchanged, the Company will proceed with the exchange rapidly according to the customer’s choice, and will adjust the amount according to the applicable shipping charges.
  4. All products purchased at doyle.ca are authentic and sealed. If the product presents a problem, the customer shall inform DOYLE immediately. If the product is considered defective by the manufacturer, DOYLE will offer a full credit in-store.
  5. In case the customer’s prescription had to change and the customer still has the boxes purchased at doyle.ca, DOYLE will exchange the sealed contact lens boxes. Boxes with an expiry date of less than 18 months will be refused.

Exchange and refund procedures

Send an email

Make sure to indicate your last name and first name, the date of purchase, the invoice number and a brief description of your request.

DOYLE undertakes to respond to you within five (5) business days of your request, with the procedure to follow.

NOTE: When an exchange is granted, it is important to return the product in its original box, with all the accessories received with the product (i.e. the case, the cleaning cloth, the certificates of authenticity, etc.), to avoid restocking charges of 5% to 10% of the purchase price. The customer remains responsible for the product up to the destination and shall ensure the product is protected sufficiently against losses or damage that may occur during shipping.
